[Bottlenose Dolphin – Communicating –]
Bottlenose dolphins are thought to communicate through body movements and sounds. They can produce a variety of sounds using six air sacs located near their blowholes. Each dolphin has its own "name" (sound) and can express itself to others. They communicate using around 30 different sounds.
