The way rabbits hop around signifies "rising" and "leaping." Also, their long ears allow them to gather various information and sense danger. They are also a symbol of "vitality" and "prosperity." - Rabbit climbing a slope - Rabbits have longer hind legs than their front legs, which is why they are good at climbing slopes. This is a metaphor for being able to use your natural strength to make things move forward quickly.
